Barnsley Community Solutions the development company partly owned by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and NHS Barnsley have received full planning permission for their next four Health & Social Care Centres at Hoyland, Darton, Athersley \ New Lodge and Great Houghton.

The new health centre at Cudworth was officially opened on Saturday 29 November 2008 by Councillor Stephen Houghton C.B.E., Leader of BMBC and Tom Sheard, Chairman of NHS Barnsley.

Patients and staff at the Grimethorpe Health Centre are in for a treat as a series of new artwork is unveiled today (Friday 18 July).

FOR the community of Cudworth the waiting is finally over as their new state-of-the-art health centre was officially handed over to Barnsley Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (MBC) on Monday (11 August) by Barnsley Community Solutions (BCS).

The award-winning Grimethorpe Health Centre officially opened to the community on Saturday 19th April with local MP, Jeff Ennis, and the Grimethorpe Colliery Band in attendance to show their support of a facility that will undoubtedly enrich the lives of all residents.
